Eu acho que não estou sozinho nessa. Quanto mais eu conheço outras pessoas, mais eu percebo que todos tem essa falha. Permanecer exatamente o mesmo pelo maior tempo possível, estando perfeitamente imóvel … É melhor, de alguma forma. E se você está sofrendo, pelo menos a dor é familiar. Porque se você toma aquele salto de fé, sai da rotina, faz algo inesperado … Quem sabe que outra dor pode estar lá fora, esperando por você. As chances são de que poderia ser ainda pior.
Então você mantém o status quo. Escolhe o caminho já percorrido e não parece tão ruim assim. Ao menos não é tão ruim. Você não é um viciado em drogas. Você não está matando ninguém … Exceto, talvez, você mesmo, um pouco.
Quando nós finalmente mudamos, eu não acho que isso acontece como um terremoto ou uma explosão, onde de repente nós somos uma pessoa diferente. Eu acho que é menor que isso. O tipo de coisa que a maioria das pessoas nem notariam a menos que eles olhassem para nós muito perto. O que, graças a Deus, elas nunca fazem. Mas você percebe. Dentro de você aquela mudança parece um mundo de diferença. E você espera que seja.
